Concrete pools require bonding of everything conductive within 1.25m of the waters edge that are in contact with the general mass of earth.
A Fibreglass pool only requires conductive fittings within 1.25m of the waters edge that are in contact with the general mass of earth to be bonded where either points 1 or 2 above are met and the exposed conductive parts of electrical equipment are installed within the pool zones (3.5 meters). If the exposed electrical equipment (pump motor or light fittings) are further than 3.5 meters from the fibreglass pool’s edge. then no bonding of conductive parts is required.
